Dreams are sometimes a puzzle because they create stories in our sleeping universe that are imaginary but very real for many hours and certainly in the world of our subconscious. We wake in a sweat or disturbed for the rest of our waking hours.
My roommate woke up today in a glorious happiness saying that since he came to stay he has stopped having nightmares of his family in Egypt living under the new regime. I laughed saying I had a nightmare and have had them for many nights this last week about my ex.
It is said in dream interpreting circles that sometimes dreams are signs that point to certain emotions and situations that have yet to be worked out and need to be resolved.
So I reluctantly welcome the nightmares that leave me feeling troubled in my waking life.
